ByoByn got selected for their investment programme Dragons' Den out of 4,000 applicants. It received rave reviews, with at least one offer of investment in its designer. There was confirmation of good smell control and a general consensus that ByoByn could be seen as central to household recycling containment in the very near future. Simon Woodroffe (Sushi Restaurant chain owner) stated that the 'biggest issue is going to be stopping the major manufacturers copying it'.
June 2004 TV Choice uses ByoByn® as their example for teaching technical prototyping, development and manufacturing training in their CD’s for colleges and universities.
